Xiaomi unveils Mi Mix 2 & Redmi Note 5A Prime

In conjunction with Xiaomi’s second Authorised Mi Store in Suria KLCC, the Chinese smartphone maker has unveiled two new smart phones; Mi MIX 2 and Redmi Note 5A Prime to Malaysia.

Making its way to Malaysia, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is a gorgeous evolution of its predecessor, Mi MIX as it is approximately 11.9% smaller and spots a 5.99-inch screen with an 18:9 full screen display where it delivers a stunning appearance.

Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 825 with 6GB of RAM and with an internal storage of 64GB. Additionally, Mi MIX 2 has a 12-megapixel PDAF camera with 4-axis optical image stabilisation.

The smart phone was designed in collaboration with world-renowned designer Phillipe Starck, as the smart phone represents Xiaomi’s efforts in pushing ahead with the use of ceramic.

The ceramic back of the Mi MIX 2 features a four-sided curved design that transitions smoothly into its aluminium frame.

Pre-order for Mi Mix 2 will begin from November 11 through online and offline channels; including Lazada and Authorised Mi Stores, while sales will begin on on November 16 at RM2199.

Redmi Note 5A Prime

If you enjoy taking selfies, then the key attraction of the Redmi Note 5A Prime is its 16-megapixel f/2.0 wide angle selfie with an LED flash (the first Xiaomi’s phone to boast a selfie-light) would definitely be something up your alley.

Meanwhile, the main camera spots at 13-megapixel f/2.2 PDAF.

Additionally, the smartphone is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 435, with a 3GB RAM and a 32GB internal storage.

The smartphone comes with a 2+1 card slot, which boasts a dedicated microSD card slot or as dual-SIM (nano+nano) feature.

It also comes with a fingerprint sensor on its back for added security purposes.

Priced at RM699, the Redmi Note 5A Prime will be available in Gold or Gray where it will be available for sale in Malaysia on November 11.
