AMD has unveiled the new AMD Radeon™ Vega Mobile graphics processors for next-generation notebooks which include the AMD Radeon™ Pro Vega 20 and Radeon™ Pro Vega 16 graphics.
In addition, the new graphics processors will be available as configurations options for Apple’s 15-inch MacBook Pro that will be release in late November.
In terms of AMD Radeon™ Vega Mobile graphics, it will deliver amazing performance in 3D rendering, photo and video editing as well as to provide stunning 1080p HD gaming at ultra settings for the latest AAA and eSports games.
Being powered by the AMD “Vega” architecture, the new graphics processors were engineered to excel in notebooks for cool and quiet operations.
Also, the processor’s razor-thin design features HBM2 memory (2nd Generation High Bandwith Memory), which takes up less space in a notebook compared to the traditional GDDR5-based graphics processors.
AMD Radeon Technologies Group corporate VP and GM Scott Herkelman said, “Radeon™ Vega Mobile graphics raise the bar for performance in notebooks as they provide the best of both worlds; amazing performance for creative applications, visually stunning as well as responsive gaming for today’s biggest titles in a mobile form factor.”
At the same time, Radeon™ Pro Vega 20 and Radeon™ Pro Vega 16 graphics
processors breeze through today’s most demanding rendering, gaming and editing workloads.
Next-generation “Vega” architecture compute units (nCU) and Rapid Packed Math bring fast and flexible computational capabilities, accelerating workloads in real-time graphics like 3D visualization.
The AMD Radeon™ Pro Vega 20 and Radeon™ Pro Vega 16 graphics are new configuration options on the 15-inch MacBook Pro, coming late November.
